On the flip side, we have also run into a few hiccups recently, including: our hardwoods being too moist to stain from all of the humidity, issues with our color changing freestanding bath tub that prevent it from being installed and mirror trim details. We are hoping and praying that our hardwoods will be dry enough to sand tomorrow, although yesterday and today brought more rain, which doesn’t help. Every day they are still too humid means a day of delay on our closing date, so we really hope they dry out soon. Our sweet builder laughed at me when I offered to bring my blow dryer over and personally blow dry them (I wasn’t kidding) but he and his team are doing everything they can to prepare them to be sanded and stained.
We also need to decide what to do with our concrete fireplace. Do we leave it raw or paint it? Raw is edgy but not very warm. Paint would probably be nice except I don’t want to mask the beautiful texture we paid so much for. Hmmm. I welcome your thoughts!
I’ll post another progress update soon!
Wow, another beautiful home. Congratulations! I hope you'll post updates soon, especially your Christmas trees. :-)
